ABSTRACT

Environmental testing involves complex regulatory, technical, and analytical requirements which necessitate laboratories to rely on specialized equipment, advanced technologies, reliable supplies, support services, well-maintained facilities, skilled personnel, and several similar key factors. Disruptions in any of these areas can significantly impact a lab's ability to deliver reliable and timely data to its clients.

Beginning with risk assessment, the presentation will provide examples of identifying key functions, emergency response planning, exploring backup systems, recovery planning, and preparing communication plans. It delves into creating resilient frameworks, emphasizing the importance of cross-functional collaboration, and incorporating the use of innovative tools and technologies. It will further review the integration of quality management systems with proactive planning for unforeseen challenges to improve service reliability.
