Kate Xia
Dr. Kate Xia has been an Application Scientist at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments for five years, specializing in biochemical characterization and small molecule analysis using HPLC and LC-MS. She has authored application notes for the environmental and pharmaceutical sectors on topics such as PFAS and microcystin analysis, peptide mapping, and drug impurity testing. Prior to joining Shimadzu, she worked as an Analytical Scientist at a contract research organization (CRO) in the pharmaceutical industry. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.
