Jo Machesky

Jo Machesky is a physical scientist within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Ambient Air Branch (AAB) in the Air Methods and Characterization Division (AMCD) in the Center for Environmental Measurement and Modeling, Office of Research and Development (ORD) where she works to develop measurements methods for volatile organic compounds in ambient air. Before joining the EPA in July of 2024, Jo completed her PhD in Environmental Engineering from Yale University under the mentorship of Dr. Drew Gentner. She also holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University.
