Tamira Cousett

Tamira Cousett is a research physical scientist at the United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Research and Development with 16 years of technical experience in methods development and monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in ambient air. Her research efforts have primarily focused on the use of passive sampling technologies, specifically Carbopack X sorbent tubes and specially prepared 6-L canisters, to measure VOCs and monitor ambient air quality around industry fencelines and near communities adversely impacted by industry. In her spare time, she enjoys working in her garden, reading books, taking care of her chickens, and spending time with family and friends.
