Andrew Maizel
Andrew Maizel has been a researcher in the Fire Research Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology for the past five years. At NIST, he leads method development for the analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in firefighter gear. Prior to that he obtained a doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a post-doc at the Colorado School of Mines, where he investigated PFAS transport with high-resolution mass spectrometry.
